Mal País Beach, Three toed sloth, Howler Monkey, Glass Frog

- Mal País Beach is a spectacular place for surfing and also to enjoy later in the afternoon a very nice sunset.

- Three toed sloth furs exhibit specialized functions: The outer hairs grow in a direction opposite from that of other mammals. In most mammals hairs grow toward the extremities, but because sloths spend so much time with their legs above their bodies, their hairs grow away from the extremities in order to provide protection from the elements while the sloth hangs upside down.

- Howler Monkeys are large and slow moving monkeys and the only folivores of the New World monkeys. Howlers eat mainly top canopy leaves, together with fruit, buds, flowers, and nuts. They need to be careful not to eat too much of certain species of mature leaf in one sitting, as some of the leaves they eat contain toxins that can poison the monkey. Howler monkeys are also known to occasionally raid bird nests and chicken coops and consume the eggs.

- Glass Frogs are mostly arboreal and live along rivers and streams. The eggs ofthe Glass Frogs are usually deposited on the leaves of trees or shrubs hanging over the running water of mountain streams, creeks, and small rivers. One species leave its eggs over stones close to waterfalls.
